In vedic astrology Hasta nakshatra is most compatible to Swati nakshatra on account of its phallic connection. While Hasta represents female buffalo, Svati is represented by a male buffalo. Besides being compatible to Rewati and Bharani akshatras, it is also compatible to Uttara Phalguni and Uttarabhadrapada nakshatras. Krittika and Pushvami nakshatras are also compatible to it. This is because of buffaloe's phallic compatibility to elephant, cow and sheep.
Taking into account the theory of obstruction, Hasta nakshatra is not compatible to Shatabhishak akshatra. Taking into account buffaloes' spontaneous hostility to horse, both male and female stars represented by horse are not compatible to it. Besides Shatabhishak, Ashwini is also incompatible to Hasta nakshatra.
While both these are greatly different and used for different purposes.
In astrology the tithi is ruled by Jala Tattva (the water element/Venus) and shows the state of the mind; whether it is excited, bored, nervous, afraid, agitated or calm.
The Nakshatra is ruled by Vayu Tattva (the air element/Saturn) and shows what the mind will experience; whether it is going to be a pleasant or painful experience.
Tithi -
A tithi is a lunar day. There are 15 tithis in the waxing cycle of the moon (shukla paksha), and there are 15 tithis in the waning cycle of the Moon ( Krishna paksha).
A particular day is ruled by the tithi at sunrise, but the tithi can change anytime of the day or night as it is not based on the solar day.
Tithis vary in duration from approximately 19 to 26 hours, according to the movement of the Moon. Each tithi has a name, a ruling planet, and can be used in muhurta (picking a proper time).
Nakshatra -
The entire visible sky is like a Circle which is 360 degrees. This Circle is divided in 12 raashi. These raashi are further divided in 27 Nakshatras and every Nakshatra has 4 Padas. So each raashi is of 2.25 Nakshatras.
